About Me

Hello! I'm Lauren Flaherty. I am a graduate with a B.A. in Art, with a minor in Interior Architecture from the College of Design, School of Art + Design at the University of Oregon. 

I have experience with design firms, providing support to Architects, Project Managers, and Interior Designers on residential projects, as well as delivering interior design expertise at a furniture store, working directly with clients to design spaces and curate pieces for their interiors. These roles firmly established my passion for design and a deep appreciation of the process, from connecting with clients to executing a project from concept to conclusion.

With a background in fine arts, I developed a keen eye for form, layout, scale, and color theory. This allowed me to expand my creativity and understand and practice a wide range of mediums (CAD, drawing, painting, digital arts). I further expanded my knowledge through interior architecture with the foundations of interior design, furniture design, lighting design, and exterior/interior finishes. 

With my previous work and commissioned pieces, my artistic skills translate into any medium and make me a valuable designer and artist. And my 'creative cross-training' helps me to be a more well-rounded and creative designer.

I thrive in group and individual environments; I am organized, conscientious, dedicated, resourceful, enthusiastic, and always look to challenge myself and the work I produce.
